Looking for Muay Thai kickboxing in Keller? Peak Performance MMA runs classes in the late morning and in the evening, so you can train around work, school drop-off or a busy family schedule.
What is Muay Thai?
Muay Thai is a striking art from Thailand, often called the "art of eight limbs." It uses punches, kicks, elbows and knees. At Peak, our coaches teach the fundamentals step by step, so no prior experience is needed. Beginners and experienced strikers train in the same class.
It is a great workout, but it is also a real skill. You learn how to stand, move, strike and defend, and you keep building on those basics every class. Learn more on our Muay Thai page.
When are Muay Thai classes in Keller?
Muay Thai Kickboxing runs seven times a week:
- Daytime: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Evening: Monday and Wednesday, 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM
- Late evening: Tuesday and Thursday, 7:45 PM to 8:45 PM
The 11:00 AM class is a good fit for parents whose kids are at school, people who work from home and anyone with a flexible lunch hour. The evening classes work well if you come straight from work. See every class on our class schedule.
How is Muay Thai different from Fitness Kickboxing?
Both classes are high energy, and both are open to beginners. The difference is the goal.
Muay Thai is about learning the martial art: punches, kicks, elbows and knees, how to put them together, and how to defend.
Fitness Kickboxing is a workout first. You hit heavy bags and mix in conditioning exercises to get your heart rate up. It runs Monday and Wednesday from 6:45 PM to 7:45 PM. Learn more on our Fitness Kickboxing page.
Not sure which one fits you? Tell us your goals when you book your free trial, and we will point you to the right class. If you want to add grappling later, our MMA team is coached by former UFC fighters James Vick and Victor Altamirano.
What happens at my first Muay Thai class?
You join a regular class for free. Most first classes include a warm-up, a short technique demo and time for questions. You go at your own pace.
Wear athletic clothes (shorts and a t-shirt are fine) and bring water. No gear is needed for the first class.
